Colston Bassett Stilton

The Colston Bassett dairy lies in the village of Colston Bassett near the Nottinghamshire/Leicestershire border

Stilton has a brown, crater like inedible rind which belies it's beautiful, creamy, soft interior and rich, lingering flavour. No wonder it's classed historically as 'The King of Cheeses'

More traditional than any other, the curd is gently hand-ladled before draining, which is what makes this one of the creamiest Stiltons to be found!

A fantastic dessert cheese, fabulous with port wine and wonderful crumbled over salads.
