Tomme de Savoie

From Savoie in the French Alps comes this mild semi-firm cheese which is usually made with the skimmed milk which is left over after the cream has been used to make butter, therefore making this cheese lower in fat

Covered in natural mould gives it a rustic grey appearance. Can be made in winter or summer so can vary in taste depending on whether the cows are fed on winter hay or summer grass.

It is a mild tasting, soft & fruity cheese sometimes with a hint of grass
